Test for the Detection of Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria.
FLAER is used in a clinical laboratory setting for multiparametric flow cytometry analysis with antibodies such as CD45, CD33, CD15, and CD14 to detect PNH clones (FLAER-negative cells) within monocyte and granulocyte cell lines. The result is an accurate and sensitive test that can be used in combination with the CD55/CD59 assay to detect PNH clones in red blood cells.
